COHASSET — Chief William Quigley is pleased to announce that the Cohasset Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project this month.

The Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort among public safety agencies nationwide to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support cancer research organizations.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and beginning this week, the Cohasset Police Department will once again be wearing pink patches on their uniforms, and selling them to the public to raise funds for a cure.

Patches can be purchased for $10 each at the Police Department offices on Elm Street, with all proceeds benefiting the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Additionally, many officers will be wearing the pink patch throughout October.

“It is our honor every year to take part in the Pink Patch Project, an initiative that allows our officers the opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer and help fund important research,” Chief Quigley said. “We encourage our residents to purchase one of the patches if they are able to in order to help fight this terrible disease.”
