School Resource Officer Gregory Taylor

The School Resource officer is a member of the Cohasset Police Department assigned to the Cohasset School District as a liaison between the schools and the police department.  The officer serves as a resource for students and faculty alike promoting student/police relations, enhancing knowledge of the fundamental concepts of law, preventing delinquent behavior, and performing police functions within the school setting.  The resource officer participates in the schools by presenting in classrooms on law and safety related topics.  Students are encouraged to speak with the officer in groups or as individuals to further a classroom presentation or to seek help for any issue.  The officer is familiar with community resources and can make referrals both within and outside the schools.  During the summer month’s the School Resource Officer is assigned to assist the Cohasset Recreation Department and acts as a liaison between their highly popular summer programs and the department.
